1/7/11, Epcot

What a full day we had today. We managed a 12 hour marathon of fun in Epcot. We headed first of all to Nemo and friends and then watched some dolphins and a very large turtle from an underwater viewing area.

We then headed to Soarin'.  This is a new Epcot ride where you soar in a glider over California. It was fab. After lunch we headed for Test Track but it was closed due to thunder and lightning in the area. Alison and David headed for Innoventions where the designed and featured in their own video game. Click here to play. I made my way to Mission Space. Alison refused to join me on this crazy blast off into space, as she was really sick the last time she rode it. You actually feel G-force as you launch and then a moment of weightlessness as you enter space. We also rode Spaceship Earth and then managed to return to Test Track. David loved the speed of the car as it quizzed round the race track.

We decided to stay at this point and do the World Showcase. We viewed nearly every country starting in Mexico where we rode on their famous boat ride. This was followed by Norway and China. David wore a hat from all three.
Mexico
Norway

China

We continued round the countries and finished in the UK where we had traditional fish and chips.

David entertained a crowd with some street dancing as we listened to a live band playing some classic British rock songs. He just came to life when he heard the music. The day ended with the awesome Illuminations firework display.

A full day in the park for David must have really tired him out, wee soul. I take it you will have to try to get to Beltz another day. I'm glad he enjoyed the rides, though. Street dancing!!! He's some boy!!! Is today a rest day? We are missing his wee face. Tell him we send all our love and kisses to him.We will try and catch up with you around 1p.m our time.

We can see David and Alison on the game they designed, but it won't play for us. Dave will have to show us where we are going wrong when he gets back. x
