4/7/11, Magic Kingdom and fireworks

Early start today. In Magic Kingdom just after 9am. Headed straight for splash mountain with its 50 ft water drop.  Only a 10 min wait time so we were straight on. This was quickly followed by Thunder Mountain Railroad. David really enjoyed both, but I think he got a bigger thrill from the railroad. We then moved across the park to Tomorrow Land and fast passed Space Mountain. The stroller proved to be very useful as we whizzed from one end of the park to the other. David met Chip and Dale.

As we waited for our FP time on Space Mountain we went on the Buzz Light Year ride. I managed a respectable 450000. This put me in the ranger class 1 category. Beat that Boyd! We then went on the gentle People Mover around tomorrow land and had some lunch. Alison rode Space Mountain first and then I followed. Great ride, but I'd rather see where I was going!!  Everything seems so tame after yesterday's experience on the HULK. Alison and David went on the Orbitor ride and I went to Adventure land to fast pass the Jungle Cruise.

We watched the Dreams Come True show at the castle. HOT! HOT! HOT!

Dreams Come True

Getting too hot now. 100 degrees. Heading for home after the street parade. Again David was cuddled by Donald Duck.

Donald..your squashing me!

Spent a couple of hours resting at the villa. David was in the pool. We managed to persuade him to remove his arm bands and YES! He swam without them for the first time.

No arm bands

Back out at 7pm to Magic Kingdom to watch the July 4th firework display over the castle. The place was heaving with people. Managed to find a good spot on main street USA. The spectacle was worth the struggle of getting there and back.

Fireworks...Disney style
